Behind the Scenes with Enjoy Events Co.

Yesterday we talked personal style, home décor and all-things-weddings with event designer and blogger Megan of Forget Me Knot Weddings. We peaked inside her two-bedroom home that she shares with her husband Chris and their awesome lab Griffin. Photographer Scott Andrew stopped by to capture Megan and her business partner Emily prepping for a party designed by Enjoy Events Co. {featured here tomorrow!}. The friends initially met through Twitter when Emily reached out to Meg about FMKW. What followed was a rather lengthy email from Meg gushing over their shared style and sensibilities. It just so happened they both called the East Bay home, too. It was decided— they would join creative forces under Enjoy Events Co., "an event planning and design company based on the idea that we do things a little differently, taking pride in providing planning and design for the seeker of all things fresh, unique and fun." Megan says, "After many dedicated nights collaborating together, we have created a brand and business we truly stand behind."

{Above: Megan blogs away from her home studio. The wooden desk is by West Elm and she added a cushion to the wire CB2 chair for extra comfort. Emily is sitting on a suede chair from Crate and Barrel {where Megan used to work}. She is dressed in head-to-toe Gap. Middle right: Issues of Anthology magazine are stacked on the nightstand with fabric swatches, notecards and the stamped name tags from Enjoy Events Co. party at Eel & Eermine in the city. Chris and Megan returned home from their travels in Thailand bearing little buddah statues. Bottom right: Emily's takes notes on the bed with Megan's lab, Griffin.}

"It's so nice to have an outdoor area," Megan says. "It feels seperate from our living space." The ladies prep centerpieces on the open-air patio— succelents in mason jars with wire attached to hang. Tomorrow we will see their floral creations in the actual setting, a barn yard birthday celebration. See you then!
