A Desert Love Shoot by Moxie Studio

Nicole and Neal choose the Eldorado Canyon ghost town of Nelson, just outside Las Vegas, for their engagement session. The couple picked this location because it conveys that no matter how arid the conditions can be, regardless of how desolate times are, they will always be together. Husband and wife team Jamison and Lisa Derfler behind Moxie Studio captured this lovely couple in a place of unsuspecting beauty. 

Neal and Nicole met their freshman year at University of Nevada, Las Vegas through mutual friends. At the time, they were both unavailable but that wasn’t the case when their paths crossed again senior year. Assuming she had agreed to a group outing, Nicole accepted Neal’s invitation one afternoon. It was only moments before they were suppose to meet when Nicole realized it was a date.

 “I was thinking of every excuse to back out, but before I knew it he was knocking at my doorstep. After our third date, I remember Neal telling me that I was the one he was going to marry. I thought he was crazy for saying that, especially to someone who he barely knew at the time! But here we are now, three years later, looking forward to starting the next chapter of our lives together.”
