The Love Story: We love a high-school sweetheart story and this one really tugs at out heartstrings. Tim and Ellie‘s journey started twelve years ago when they met while painting fences at Ellie’s family farm in preparation for a bull sale. Ellie was 15 and Tim was 17 at the time. Ellie asked Tim to a party and things naturally progressed from there. Tim did his Agricultural apprenticeship on Landfall Farm and so this meant young couple was able to see each other nearly everyday. {It is worth noting that Ellie’s parents also met working together the family farm… so it sort of runs in the family.} After college life in Victoria, the couple moved in together on the farm. Tim and Ellie’s passion for the country and the farming lifestlye is rooted in their family histories. The early mornings and quiet life has always been their preference.
The Lovely Details: The wedding was held at the bride’s family cattle ranch, Landfall, on the eastern banks of the Tamar River in Northern Tasmania. The ceremony and the reception complimented the rustic ranch setting with relaxed, natural elements and gorgeous vintage finds. Wine barrels accented with white flags lined the old wooden pews, leading to the alter which was framed by two massive floral arrangements in crates found on the property. Inside the reception tent white lanterns, vintage tea tins and tea pots filled the tables. Flowers filled the tables in a mixture of milk jars, wooden boxes and tea tins. A collection of hay bales, wine barrels and fire pits sprinkled the cocktail area, where guests could cozy up to each other to keep warm.
From the Bride: "It was a beautiful weekend, lots of friends and family travelled to share our special day. The catering was absolutely magnificent, the setting stunning, we all looked gorgeous and everyone had so much fun. The wedding cake made by my sister, so it was extra special. We had a great amount of help from our families and friends to make our day so wonderful."
