Color Crush: Stars and Stripes
Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 5:00AM As a native Sonoman, I can say with confidence that the 4th of July is my town's favorite holiday. For years, even throughout college, my friends made a pilgrimage from all over the country to overstimulate my parents home with laughter, a variety of spiked juices, Top 40 tunes and nothing but red, white and blue costume changes.
The 4th of July in Sonoma is epic. We have the most humble, home-town parade which circles the downtown plaza. After the parade, the park opens up, full of wine tasting, grilled corn, cotton candy and children screaming with delight bouncing in huge inflatable castles. Carnival games entertain the little ones while local fire fighters engage in what can only be describe as the friendliest, most competitive water fight with brave Little Leaguers. Not to mention we have one of the best firework displays in Northern California.
There is no denying the fact that the 4th of July is the height of summer celebration across the country. BBQs, cold beers and s'mores are all in order. Let the festivites begin!

We adore these TOMS and this Lauren Moffat Dress....perhaps not worn together.
