We are so happy to have Sift Cupcake and Dessert Bar as a member of The Collection. What is it about The Collection that inspires or excites you? We are thrilled to be a part of The Collection and love what you gals are doing for the industry. As a wedding vendor, we are always looking for new ways to connect to prospective brides and other industry professionals. Being a part of The Collection does just that–not to mention The Collection is incredibly fun and creative, which we LOVE!

Tell us a little bit about Sift. How did you get into the industry? It all started with the owner Andrea's wedding. She scoured the Wine Country for a unique, creative cupcake and quickly discovered an untapped niche that she could not ignore. Sift now has 3 locations and offers fun, whimsical dessert options previously unavailable in the Wine Country. 

What is your signature style? What extra-special desserts are Sift known for? Sift specializes in cupcakes, whoopie cookies, French macaroons, and cupcake truffles (a.k.a. cruffles!). When it comes to weddings, the sky is the limit! We create custom designs and flavors to match just about any theme, color scheme or idea a bride dreams up. We love being a part of the design process from the beginning to the end, helping the bride navigate every detail along the way. We also offer dessert bar rentals and design which are incredibly popular with our brides. 

Is there a particular bride that gravitates toward your work? We work with all types of brides and on all types of weddings. Most brides we work with are looking for something creative and fun to set their wedding apart. 

Tell us about your favorite custom design ever. We love all the creative customized weddings we work on and appreciate when a bride brings us a new and exciting challenge. One of our favorites is a mini cupcake display on apple crates in the back of a red vintage truck for a couple who were married in an orchard. Another was a vintage dessert bar complete with every dessert we offer and the couples favorite candy. It was super colorful and fun, just like the couple. 

What's new at Sift? What so we have to look forward to from you guys? One of Sift's newest ventures includes opening up a shop in a coveted space in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood later this summer. We are also reinventing our cutting cakes to offer multiple tiers and beautiful design to support this growing trend.
